A 60 years old German national was admitted to the ICU at Mina Al Wadi Hospital in Mina, suffering from pneumonia and upper GI bleeding. His condition later deteriorated and he developed septic shock and acute kidney injury.
UTA Assistance secured an air ambulance with a medical crew to fly the subscriber
As is normal with the Hajj, his passport was kept by the National Establishment for Hajj Affairs upon his arrival to KSA.
UTA Assistance was asked to retrieve his passport (on a Friday), secure a ground ambulance from Mina to Jeddah Airport with tarmac access, and secure an air ambulance with a medical crew to fly the subscriber to Frankfurt.
